Softball Recap: Edgar Wildcats vs. Chequamegon Screaming Eagles

Edgar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 9-4 to the Chequamegon Screaming Eagles. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Screaming Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Alyssa Kolano made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Isabella Kaiser was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Edgar's defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Chequamegon, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season.

Edgar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chequamegon, they will head out on the road to take on Newman at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
