Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Beats Trion for Their Third Straight Win

LaFayette waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Trion Bulldogs. That's more bragging rights for the Ramblers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: LaFayette took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14.

Addison Cagle paced LaFayette's offense, picking up 11 kills. Cagle got some help from Jaslyn Capello and her 25 assists. Sophy Tinklepaugh controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

LaFayette's victory bumped their record up to 30-9. As for Trion, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.

Coincidentally, LaFayette and Trion will both be playing Unity Christian the next time they take the court. The Ramblers will head out to face the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
