Basketball Recap: Solomon Lewis Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

After losing to Gwynn Park the last time they met, Douglass decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Douglass Eagles walked away with a 70-62 win over the Gwynn Park Yellowjackets on Thursday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Douglass to victory, but perhaps none more so than Solomon Lewis, who posted 14 points and seven boards. CeeJay Oram was another key player, going 5 for 7 en route to 14 points.

Douglass' record is now 9-2. As for Gwynn Park, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.

Douglass wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 67-56 defeat against Flowers on the 25th. As for Gwynn Park, they will head out to take on Largo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
