Volleyball Recap: Gibault Catholic's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Gibault Catholic had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Marissa/Coulterville Meteors 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hawks have posted since September 24th.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Gibault Catholic who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-18, 19-25, 25-22.

Gibault Catholic got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was OLIVIA BIFFAR out in front who had 16 digs and 14 assists. That's the most assists BIFFAR has posted over her last seven matches. Another player making a difference was AUBRY THOMAS, who had 24 digs and four assists.

The win was the third in a row for Gibault Catholic, bringing their record up to 15-15. As for Marissa/Coulterville, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-12.
