Basketball Recap: Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tyner Academy, Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts Eagles, sneaking past 63-61. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 68-44 back in December of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts saw an underclassman step up: freshman Landon Caldwell posted 31 points. With that strong performance, Caldwell is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game. Another player making a difference was Carter Smith, who put up eight points.

Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences' win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-13.

Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences will take on Bledsoe County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bledsoe County has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests. Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts has already played their next matchup, a 67-31 victory against Grace Baptist Academy on the 3rd.
