Basketball Recap: McKinney Christian Academy Takes a Loss

McKinney Christian Academy was the 65-14 winner over Whitesboro when they last played one another on Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell 36-30 to the Bearcats on Saturday.

Despite the loss, McKinney Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Elizabeth Thompson shot 47% from the field en route to 25 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Carrington Lansford, who posted a point and seven rebounds.

McKinney Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Whitesboro, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

McKinney Christian Academy will head out to challenge Prince of Peace at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Whitesboro, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-13 loss against Tioga on the 6th.
