Basketball Recap: LaBelle Takes a Loss

LaBelle has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Winter Springs Bears.

LaBelle's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Winter Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

LaBelle will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Everglades City at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Winter Springs will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Lake Mary Prep at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
