Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Aledo walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Amarillo Sandies with a sharp  15-2 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Bearcats, who have now won 12 games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
Aledo got a great performance from  Devin Miller as he  tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits. Miller has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Landon Barnes was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of  Noah Graham, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run and four  RBI.
 Aledo  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .618. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
The  win (which was Aledo's fifth in a row) raised their record to 27-7. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Amarillo, their loss dropped their record down to 24-13-1.
Aledo will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Sandies: the pair will be back at it again later today.
