Basketball Game Preview: Saline Hornets vs. Novi Wildcats

The Saline Hornets will venture away from home to challenge the Novi Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Tuesday, Saline blew past Skyline, posting a 54-25 win. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Novi). They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 57-22 victory over Glenn.

The win made it two in a row for Saline and bumps their season record up to 16-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Novi, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-20.

Saline was able to grind out a solid win over Novi in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 50-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Saline since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
