Football Recap: Providence Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Providence Christian Academy lost against Elbert County back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Storm were beaten by the Blue Devils 43-9. The Storm were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-9.

Elbert County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jose Rodriguez out in front who picked up 91 receiving yards, and also rushed for 63 yards. Mikeal Allen was another key rusher, rushing for 75 yards and two touchdowns.

This is the second loss in a row for Providence Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Elbert County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-4.

Providence Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-13 defeat against Athens Academy on the 10th. As for Elbert County, they have also already played their next game, a 45-0 win against Banks County on the 10th.
