Soccer Game Preview: Olympic vs. Cox Mill

The Olympic Trojans will take on the Cox Mill Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Olympic fell victim to South Mecklenburg and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 9-0 to the Sabres. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Sabres: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Cox Mill came up short against Hoggard on Saturday, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Vikings are ranked second).

Cox Mill's goal came courtesy of Sophie Holcomb, who's now up to four this season.

Olympic's loss dropped their record down to 2-4-2. As for Cox Mill, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-1.
