Basketball Game Preview: Dallas Thunder vs. Episcopal School of Dallas Eagles

Dallas Thunder is 2-8 against Episcopal School of Dallas since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Dallas Thunder will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Episcopal School of Dallas Eagles at 6:30 p.m.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 75-42, which was the final score in Dallas Thunder's tilt against Trinity Christian on January 3rd. While losing is never fun, Dallas Thunder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 587th, while Trinity Christian is ranked 230th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Episcopal School of Dallas). They took their match on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 73-39 victory over Oakridge. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles who have now won three games in a row.

Episcopal School of Dallas pushed their record up to 13-13 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Dallas Thunder, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Dallas Thunder came up short against Episcopal School of Dallas when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 76-65. Can Dallas Thunder avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
