Basketball Recap: Wahama Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

Wahama won against Ravenswood last Wednesday with 34 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Wahama White Falcons came out on top against the Point Pleasant Big Blacks by a score of 34-26. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 29-27 back in December of 2024.

Point Pleasant's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Chloe Waminan, who posted ten points, and Kyla Queen, who scored five points. That was a full 38.5% of Point Pleasant's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Wahama has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Point Pleasant, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Wahama has already played their next game, a 39-34 win against Buffalo on the 27th. As for Point Pleasant, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-32 loss against Warren on the 25th.
