Baseball Recap: South Medford Wins Going Away Against Hood River Valley

The South Medford Panthers got the win against the Hood River Valley Eagles on Wednesday by a conclusive 14-5. That nine run margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.

South Medford let Randy Patrick and Jedidiah Robertson run wild. Patrick scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Robertson went 3-for-5 with four RBI and one run. Those three hits gave Robertson a new career-high. Keegan Painter was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: South Medford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

South Medford now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hood River Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, South Medford and Hood River Valley will both be playing Corvallis the next time they take the field. Hood River Valley will head out to face Corvallis at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, while South Medford will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
