Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Rice Lake walked away with it. They came out on top against the Lakeland Thunderbirds by a score of 59-47 on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Rice Lake's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addison Schmidt, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 18 rebounds. Schmidt has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played. Adaline Sheplee was another key player, shooting 4-for-7 from long range and almost dropping a double-double with 24 points and nine boards.

Despite the loss, Lakeland still got an impressive performance from Kristina Ouimette, who posted 24 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ava Evenhouse, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 11 points.

Rice Lake's victory bumped their record up to 22-5. As for Lakeland, they moved to 22-5 with that loss, which also ended their 14-game winning streak.

Rice Lake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-46 win against Shawano Community on the 8th. Lakeland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
