LANCASTER, Pa. - the Bulldogs scored 24 points in the second quarter to secure a big 45-7 victory over J.P. McCaskey (Lancaster, Pa.) on Saturday.
Wilson scored on three rushing touchdowns in the quarter, including two by
Tim Whitmoyer.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
Matt Timochenko to
Bryce Pych in the first quarter, WHS led 38-0 at the half.
The West Lawn school grew its lead to 45 points entering the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs' lone score in the quarter came on a
Dustin Miller touchdown run.
Whitmoyer was the top performer for Wilson. The junior running back ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored three touchdowns on the season.
J.P. McCaskey's lone touchdown came on a 10-yard pass from Kyaire Bynum to Brandon Allen in the fourth quarter.
When the two teams played each other last season, WHS came away with a 34-13 victory.
The loss was the fourth in a row for the Red Tornado. With the win the West Lawn school extended its winning streak to four games.
J.P. McCaskey (0-4) will play a Lancaster-Lebanon 1 game against Hempfield next week, while Wilson (4-0) will take on Cedar Crest also in a Lancaster-Lebanon 1 game.
