Volleyball Recap: Chaparral Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Chaparral had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 3-1 to the San Elizario Eagles. The Lobos haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Chaparral started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-21, 25-15, 25-23.

San Elizario now has a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chaparral will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hatch Valley at 6:00 p.m. on September 2. As for San Elizario, they will challenge Austin at 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday.
