Volleyball Recap: SkyView Academy Takes a Loss

SkyView Academy lost against Denver Christian back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hawks came up short against the Thunder, falling 3-0. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-12, 25-12.

Mei Li Scholl paced SkyView Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Scholl got some help from Lyla Kostiuk and her ten assists. Finally, Evelyn Gilbert kept SkyView Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

SkyView Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Denver Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

SkyView Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Jefferson on the 20th. Denver Christian has also already played their next contest (against Eagle Ridge Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
