There's no place like home for the Robert C. Byrd Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 47-35 win over Elkins on Saturday. For Robert C. Byrd, this counts as revenge for the 70-59 loss Elkins walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.

Robert C. Byrd found their leader in underclassman Logan Boyce, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Barberio, who scored eight points along with two steals.

Robert C. Byrd's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Elkins, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Robert C. Byrd will take on Fairmont Senior at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Fairmont Senior will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. As for Elkins, Elkins and Bridgeport will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Bridgeport presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Elkins in West Virginia (Bridgeport is ranked ninth, while Elkins is ranked 79th).
