Central barely beat Ludlow the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Golden Eagles blew past the Lions 3-0 on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.
While Central won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-18, 25-22.
Leonardo Leon paced Central's offense, picking up eight kills. Leon got some help from Daniel Laguerre and his 14 assists. Finally, Tristan Mitchell kept Central's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
The victory got Central back to even at 3-3. As for Ludlow, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Minnechaug Regional on the 10th.
