Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bridgewater-Raynham). They blew past the New Bedford Whalers 48-7 on Friday. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Whalers are ranked 159th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jack Lambert went supernova, throwing for 223 yards and four TDs on only 17 passes. Another player making a difference was Jack Mattar, who picked up 56 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

The win (which was Bridgewater-Raynham's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.3 points on average over those games. As for New Bedford, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Bridgewater-Raynham and New Bedford will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Trojans are set to face off against their familiar foe Dartmouth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, New Bedford will challenge rival Brockton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
