South Bend Riley's win ends 16-game losing streak on the road

Recap: South Bend Riley Wildcats vs. Trinity Titans

The South Bend Riley Wildcats had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Trinity with a 26-22 victory on Thursday. The win was just what South Bend Riley needed coming off of a 56-24 defeat in their prior matchup.

Among those leading the charge was Serinity Pinkney, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Kaelynn Howell, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and two steals.

South Bend Riley's victory ended a 16-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-15. As for Trinity, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Bend Riley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against South Bend Clay at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (South Bend Clay is ranked 350th, while South Bend Riley is ranked 366th). As for Trinity, they will head out on the road to square off against Elkhart Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Elkhart Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Saturday.
