Volleyball Recap: Los Lunas Has No Trouble Against Atrisco Heritage Academy

Los Lunas's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Los Lunas walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-18, 25-18.

Los Lunas found their leader in sophomore Alexia Fernandez, who had six assists and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Fernandez. Kayla Finley also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Los Lunas' win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Atrisco Heritage Academy, they dropped their record down to 6-14 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Los Lunas and Atrisco Heritage Academy will both be playing Rio Grande the next time they take the court. The Jaguars will head out to face the Ravens at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Tigers will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
