Recap: Cornerstone Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Meridian Yellowjackets

Cornerstone Christian Academy came out on top against Meridian by a score of 64-52. With that win, Cornerstone Christian Academy brought their scoring average up to 51.7 points per game.
Cornerstone Christian Academy was led to victory by Carson Jones and Nate Tompkins. Jones scored 18 points along with 7 assists and 6 steals, while Tompkins scored 26 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Tompkins has scored at least 25% of Cornerstone Christian Academy's points. Carter Jones was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 11 rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Meridian saw an underclassman step up: Josh Nunez scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Guillermo Ortiz, who scored 5 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals.
Cornerstone Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Meridian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
