Baseball Recap: McGavock Raiders vs. Overton Bobcats

After flying high against Cane Ridge last Thursday, McGavock came back down to earth. The McGavock Raiders took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Overton Bobcats on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to McGavock of the 8-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April.

Cody Calvin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.

On Overton's side, Christian Estrada-Rivas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 14 Ks.
