Volleyball Game Preview: Elkin Buckin' Elks vs. Ashe County Huskies

The Elkin Buckin' Elks will challenge the Ashe County Huskies at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Elkin proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Starmount 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Buckin' Elks have posted since September 9th.

Elkin took Starmount into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-12, 25-22, 23-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Ashe County waltzed into their match on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-19, 25-10.

Elkin's win bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Ashe County, their victory bumped their record up to 23-7.

Elkin suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Ashe County when the teams last played back in September. Can the Buckin' Elks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
