Baseball Recap: Liberal Takes a Loss

Liberal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 12-1 to the Great Bend Panthers. The contest marked the Redskins' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Liberal saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexander Schwindt, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Liberal's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Great Bend, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberal will challenge Woodward at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Great Bend, they will welcome Hays at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are on a three-game streak of home wins, the Indians a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
