South Wake has gone a perfect 4-0 against South Guilford HomeSchool recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The South Wake Sabres will square off against the South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars at 2:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
South Wake is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They breezed past Surry HomeSchool to the tune of 73-19. The win was familiar territory for the Sabres, who have now won five contests in a row.

Rebekah Hartzell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9-for-14 on her way to 23 points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Savannah Taylor was another key player, putting up ten points along with seven steals and five assists.
South Wake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, South Guilford HomeSchool had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 47 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They blew past the Runnin' Patriots, posting a 58-28 victory. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Runnin' Patriots are ranked 444th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
South Guilford HomeSchool's win came from a few key players South Wake will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Isa Bosch, who posted 15 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kourtney Bullins, who put up 17 points and four steals.
South Wake's win bumped their record up to 29-2. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, their victory bumped their record up to 30-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: South Wake has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 32.5 rebounds per game. However, it's not like South Guilford HomeSchool struggles in that department as they've been averaging 37.6 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
South Wake won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in January, slipping by South Guilford HomeSchool 43-42.
