Brennan is a perfect 9-0 against Holmes since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bears will face off against the Huskies at 7:30 p.m. Brennan will be strutting in after a win while Holmes will be coming in after a loss.
Brennan is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Marshall: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Bears blew the Rams out of the water with a 66-0 final score. That 66 point margin sets a new team best for the Bears this season.

Cayden Glass produced another solid performance rushing for 49 yards and three TDs, while also throwing for 106 yards and three touchdowns. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Micai Thompson was another key player, rushing for 109 yards and one score on only ten carries.
Brennan didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Timothy Cummings picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Holmes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 69-16 loss at the hands of Harlan. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 886th, while the Hawks are ranked 91st).
Brennan will have to contain Jordan Conway Mitchell as he made an impact in Holmes' last game. He rushed for 183 yards and one TD on only 15 carries. Holmes also got a significant boost from Jayden Hopkins, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 95 yards.
The victory made it two in a row for Brennan and bumps their season record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points over those games. As for Holmes, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Brennan has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 154.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Holmes struggles in that department as they've been averaging 179.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Brennan against Holmes in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 72-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
