Basketball Recap: Legacy Gets the Win

Legacy proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 25) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Cooper Cougars 30-27. Given the Leopards' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Cougars are ranked 665th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Legacy has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Cooper, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Wylie the next time they take the court. Cooper will host Wylie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Legacy will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
