Basketball Game Preview: Hinsdale Central Bobcats vs. Andover Panthers

Hinsdale Central hasn't had much luck against Andover recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Bobcats duke it out with the Panthers at 7:30 p.m.

Hinsdale Central is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 49-19 loss at the hands of Cuba-Rushford. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 887th, while the Rebels are ranked 353rd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Andover). They claimed a resounding 102-39 victory over Alfred-Almond. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Andover pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.7 points over those games. As for Hinsdale Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.
