Soccer Recap: Aspen Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

After failing to score in their last game, Aspen made sure to put some goals up on the board against Rifle on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bears a 5-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Aspen, who have now won four matchups by five goals or more so far this season.

They hit Rifle with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Willow Schaefer (2), Spencer Irvin, Coco Tullar, and Lexi Munro.

Aspen is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four games. As for Rifle, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
