Baseball Recap: Greene County Gets the Win

Greene County hadn't done well against Winterset recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rams had just enough and edged out the Huskies 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rams have posted since June 20, 2025.

The win made it two in a row for Greene County and bumps their season record up to 2-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Winterset, they dropped their record down to 7-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Greene County will head out to challenge Perry at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Winterset, they will square off against A-D-M at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
