West Memphis is on an 11-game streak of home losses, and Jacksonville a six-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The West Memphis Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Jacksonville Titans at 5:00 p.m. West Memphis will be strutting in after a victory while Jacksonville will be coming in after a loss.
West Memphis is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 18-4 margin over Nettleton on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Blue Devils with their most commanding win of the season.

Maddox Maloy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI. Those stolen bases were his first of the season.
In other batting news, West Memphis got a massive performance out of Caleb Kuhn, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, five runs, and two doubles. The Blue Devils are 2-1 when Kuhn posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-18 otherwise. Cayden Wynn was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI.
West Memphis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .651. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Jacksonville came up short against Greenbrier on Wednesday, falling 15-1.
Jacksonville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hazen Hutton, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
West Memphis' win bumped their record up to 3-19. As for Jacksonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-18-1.
