Baseball Game Preview: Seaside Seagulls vs. Cascade Cougars

The Seaside Seagulls will head out on the road to face off against the Cascade Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seaside has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Seaside is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Junction City on Thursday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 23-0.

Meanwhile, Cascade came up short against Lebanon on Wednesday and fell 5-2. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caden Bitikofer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Cascade now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Seaside, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Seaside was able to grind out a solid win over Cascade in their previous matchup back in March of 2017, winning 9-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seaside since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
