Recap: Troy Trojans vs. St. Maries Lumberjacks

The Troy Trojans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against St. Maries by a score of 59-52. The win was some much needed relief for Troy as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Several Lumberjacks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brenna Elliott, who scored 26 points along with five assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Elliott has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Raevyn Yearout, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Troy now has a winning record of 7-6. As for St. Maries, they bumped their record down to 2-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Troy will head out on the road to take on Genesee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Genesee is ranked 70th, while Troy is ranked 79th). As for St. Maries, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Priest River at 7:00 p.m.
