Valley Center gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They never let the Eisenhower Tigers onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The Hornets' winning goal came courtesy of Tyler Manske.

Valley Center will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Augusta at 12:00 p.m. As for Eisenhower, they are on the road again on Tuesday to play Winfield.
