Baseball Recap: Washington County Takes a Loss

Washington County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Glasgow Scotties.

Lance Coulter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Dylan Mattingly was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

Washington County's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Glasgow, they pushed their record up to 5-7-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Washington County will challenge Van Buren at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Black Knights will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Commanders surely won't give up without a fight. As for Glasgow, they will face off against Western Hills at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
