Soccer Game Preview: Franklin vs. Galt

The Franklin Wildcats and the Galt Warriors will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a six-game winning streak alive.

Franklin's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Elk Grove with a sharp 3-0 victory. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Thundering Herd are ranked 707th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Franklin hit Elk Grove with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Landon Roberson, Mason Reyes, and Marcos Zarate.

Meanwhile, everything went Galt's way against El Dorado on Friday as Galt made off with a 7-0 win. The matchup marked the Warriors' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Franklin's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three contests. As for Galt, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
