Basketball Recap: Sikeston Skates Past Kelly with Ease

Sikeston entered their tilt with Kelly on Monday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They breezed past the Kelly Hawks to the tune of 72-37. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 189th, while the Hawks are ranked 421st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sikeston pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points over those games. As for Kelly, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Looking ahead, Sikeston will be playing in front of their home fans against Central at 6:00 p.m. on February 19th. Kelly does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
