            Case barely beat Westport the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cardinals were the clear victors by  a  10-3 margin over the Wildcats on Tuesday. The  victory was familiar territory for the Cardinals, who have now won three  contests in a row.

 Aedan Borges was a  major factor no matter where he played. He  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He also  tossed a  walk, which is notable because Case is 4-2 when he allows at  most  two  walks, but 3-8 otherwise. Borges was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run. Those  two  RBI gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Zachary Kern, who  went 1-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. Case is undefeated when  Kern posts two or  more  runs, but 4-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lucas Saltmarsh, who  went 1-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double.
Case pushed their record up to 7-10 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Westport,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 12-6-1.
 Looking ahead, Case will take on Old Rochester Regional at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday. As for Westport, they will square off against Belmont at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
