Baseball Recap: Palmyra-Eagle Find Success

With a playoff win on the line, Palmyra-Eagle rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pecatonica Vikings, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since May 13, 2024.

Palmyra-Eagle has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Pecatonica, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Palmyra-Eagle didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-3 defeat against Johnson Creek on the 4th. Pecatonica does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
