Volleyball Game Preview: Petal Panthers vs. Clinton Arrows

The Petal Panthers will head out to face off against the Clinton Arrows at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Petal will be strutting in after a win while Clinton will be coming in after a loss.

On Monday, Petal got the win against West Jones by a conclusive 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

Petal walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-21, 25-10, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to Gulfport.

While Clinton ultimately came up short, they really made Gulfport work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 27-25.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Petal, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Petal took their win against Clinton when the teams last played back in August of 2015 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
