Softball Recap: Corona del Sol Aztecs vs. Perry Pumas

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Corona del Sol had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They walked away with a 12-8 win over the Perry Pumas. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Corona del Sol as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Alyssia Munoz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and six unearned) runs on 11 hits.

At the plate, Kaylie Pequeno was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI. Leah Montenegro was another key contributor, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs.
