Basketball Recap: Grand Lake Takes a Loss

Grand Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost to the Bell City Bruins on the road by a 59-43 margin. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Bruins are ranked 23rd).

Grand Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Bell City, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

Grand Lake will square off against Starks at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bell City, they will challenge Jennings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Bell City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests.
