Rich Township typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Bloom proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Rich Township Raptors by a score of 71-61. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Blazing Trojan's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Raptors are ranked 16th).

Joe Jones was Bloom's leading scorer, having posted two points. Jones also led the team in rebounds with three.

Rich Township's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Al Brooks, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards, and Jayden Williams, who went 6-for-15 on his way to 18 points. The match was Brooks' third in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Kavon Ammons, who went 5-for-10 en route to 13 points.

Bloom has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points over those games. As for Rich Township, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-8.
