Softball Recap: JW North Find Success

After losing to Heritage the last time they met, JW North decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Huskies narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Patriots 11-9. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.

JW North got a massive performance out of Angelina Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Xochitl Frias, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and three runs.

JW North's record now sits at 13-9. As for Heritage, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. JW North will take on Vista del Lago at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huskies are facing the Ravens at the right time seeing as the Ravens are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Heritage, they will square off against Tahquitz at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
