Soccer Recap: Anoka vs. Champlin Park
Anoka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 7-1 to the Champlin Park Rebels. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Tornadoes were already down 4-0.
Anoka's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Champlin Park, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-7-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anoka will challenge Maple Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maple Grove will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Anoka surely won't give up without a fight. As for Champlin Park, they will venture away from home to square off against Elk River at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Elk River's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
