Recap: Cerritos Dons vs. Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Cerritos Dons had no problem doing just that on Friday. They strolled past the Mighty Arabs with points to spare, taking the game 42-28. The win was familiar territory for Cerritos who now have six in a row.

Josh Park had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 156 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.

When it comes to explaining why Coachella Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aaron Ramirez. Despite the final result, he rushed for 173 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also picked up 104 receiving yards and a touchdown. Ramirez hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games.

Cerritos' victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Coachella Valley, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3.

Cerritos will be playing in front of their home fans against Yucca Valley at 7:00 p.m. on November 25th. One thing working in Yucca Valley's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests. Coachella Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
