Baseball Game Preview: North Little Rock Charging Wildcats vs. Little Rock Christian Academy Warriors

The North Little Rock Charging Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Little Rock Christian Academy Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: North Little Rock has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Little Rock Christian Academy will arrive with eight straight victories.

North Little Rock managed to slip by Catholic the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Charging Wildcats came up short against the Rockets on Tuesday, falling 12-2.

Jackson Estes and Will Jones stepped up to the plate in a big way. Estes went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Jones got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Little Rock Christian Academy had just enough and edged out Cabot 4-2 on Tuesday.

Little Rock Christian Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for North Little Rock, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

North Little Rock came out on top in a nail-biter against Little Rock Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Charging Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
